Central Milk Analysis Laboratory
We offer the following types of tests:
Cow milk – fat, protein, lactose, somatic cell count, urea, ketone bodies, lactoferrin
Sheep milk – fat, protein, lactose, somatic cell count,
Goat milk – fat, protein, lactose, somatic cell count,
The Central Milk Analysis Laboratory (CLRM) has been accredited since 2000 – from 17 November 2000 – registration number S003.
CLRM in International Proficiency Tests
- CLRM regularly participates in International Proficiency Tests (IPT)
- IPTs are participated in by laboratories from around the world. In these tests, each laboratory receives the same set of samples with unknown values of fat, protein, lactose, urea content and somatic cell count in the sample. Each sample is measured using a standard procedure and the measured values are sent for evaluation and statistical processing.
- In IPTs, repeatability and measurement accuracy are evaluated. The test organiser calculates a Z-score for each laboratory for the measurement of individual samples.
- If the Z-score is less than or equal to ± 2, the results are satisfactory. If the Z-score is greater than ± 2 but less than ± 3, the results are still acceptable, but the laboratory must investigate why such a result occurred.
- If the Z-score is greater than ± 3, the results are unacceptable and it is necessary to thoroughly evaluate why the laboratory has unacceptable results.
